Common Questions
What swimming ability is needed for the reef trips?
Comfortable swimming in open water is recommended, though you don't need to be a strong swimmer. Life jackets are provided for all participants, and our guides stay close to the group throughout the snorkeling session. If you're uncertain about your comfort level in the ocean, mention this when booking so we can discuss appropriate options.
When is the best time to visit Tioman for snorkeling?
March through October offers the calmest seas and best underwater visibility. The monsoon season from November to February brings rougher conditions and most island resorts close during this period. Water temperatures stay warm year-round, typically between 27-30°C.
What's included in the trip prices?
All trips include boat transfers from Mersing, snorkeling equipment, guided reef sessions, marine park fees, and meals as specified in each package. Multi-day trips include accommodations and all activities listed. You'll need to arrange your own transport to Mersing and bring personal items like reef-safe sunscreen and swimwear.
How do I book and what's your cancellation policy?

What marine life might we see at the reefs?
Tioman's reefs host diverse marine communities including parrotfish, angelfish, butterflyfish, clownfish in their anemones, moray eels, blue-spotted stingrays, and occasional sea turtles. Hard and soft corals create the reef structure, with table corals, brain corals, and colorful soft coral gardens. Sightings vary by location, season, and conditions, but the reefs consistently offer vibrant underwater scenery.
